RuneScape: Dragonwilds calculators and guides
Wildsforge is a free, fan-made help site for RuneScape: Dragonwilds. It has calculators that work out the numbers for your own level and gear, and player guides that explain how the game's systems work.
So far we cover four skills that work hand in hand: chop the wood, grow the crops, catch the fish and cook it all into the food that powers everything else. More skills are on the way.

Frequently asked questions
What is Wildsforge?
Wildsforge is a fan-made website with calculators and guides for RuneScape: Dragonwilds, the survival crafting game from Jagex. It's here to help players plan ahead and understand how the game's systems work.
I'm new to Dragonwilds. Where should I start?
Do the tutorial quests in the Temple Woods, keep your food, water and rest meters up, and claim a bed as soon as you can. Our beginner's guide walks you through your first hours and the mistakes to avoid.
Which skills does Wildsforge cover?
Farming, Cooking, Fishing and Woodcutting so far, each with a full guide and its own calculator. More skills will follow. Each one is researched against the wiki and Jagex's announcements before it goes live.
How do I unlock Farming in Dragonwilds?
Talk to the Wise Old Man in Bramblemead Valley to start the Growing Pains quest. Once it's complete you can build farming plots and start planting. See how to unlock Farming for the details.
How do I stop my crops getting diseased?
Plant each seed in the plot that matches its region, water it with clean water every day and add compost. Keep a plant cure with you, because diseased plants die the next day if they aren't treated. The guide's crop disease section shows how much each step helps.
How do I get more seeds back from harvesting?
Seed Recovery rises by 0.3% for every Farming level, and a bigger harvest means more chances to recover a seed. Use the farming calculator to see whether your setup gives back at least one seed per plot, and the farming XP calculator to plan your levels.
What's the fastest way to level Cooking?
Grow potatoes, cabbages and redberries, cook them, and combine them into Sweet Veg Balls for 50 XP each plus a +10% XP buff. Later on, drying redberries bought from garou merchants is quicker. The cooking guide has the full 1–99 route, and the cooking XP calculator works out exactly how many meals you need.
How do I start Fishing in Dragonwilds?
Craft a coarse net from 2 coarse thread at a crafting table. That starts the Shrimp Catcher quest from the Wise Old Man, which teaches net fishing and gets you your first rod at level 3. See how to unlock Fishing.
What's the best fish for Fishing XP?
Desert sole in Umbral Sands gives the most XP per fish (65). Earlier on, trout, salmon and the undead eels are the best in their regions. The fishing XP calculator compares all 15 fish for your level.
What's the best tree for Woodcutting XP?
Magic trees give about 1,000 XP each, but need a rune axe and the Scorned Wilderness. Before that, yew (220 XP) and maple (about 196) are best. Your axe, not your level, decides what you can chop; see the woodcutting guide.
Is Wildsforge an official RuneScape site?
No. Wildsforge is made by fans and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Jagex.
Is it free to use?
Yes. Every tool and guide is free, with no account needed. If you find it useful, you can support the site with a coffee to help cover hosting.
How accurate are the calculators and guides?
They're based on the RuneScape: Dragonwilds wiki and Jagex's own announcements. Calculators show averages, so your real results will vary. Where a mechanic isn't fully documented, we say so rather than guess.
